Carl Hoover, 91, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009.

Born in Fairfax, SC, he was the son of the late Gilmore Hoover Sr. and Irene Williams Hoover. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ernestine Hoover and Ruby Hoover Davis and brother, Gilmore Hoover Jr. Carl was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a devoted servant of the Lord and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Barlow Hoover; two step-children, Leah Lowery of Douglasville, GA and James Lowery of Cullman, AL and six grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Trull will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
