Carl B. Angel, 87, of Franklin, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015.

Born in Macon Co, NC, he was the son of the late Fred J. Angel and Cordie Gibson Angel. Carl loved to hunt grouse, quail and rabbit. He was a member of Mashburn Branch Baptist Church where he was a Teen Class Training Union teacher, choir leader and church trustee.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Belle Dowdle Angel; two children, Larry Angel and wife Brenda of Franklin and Carlene Hunnicutt and husband James of Union, SC; one sister, Pearl Holland of Franklin; three grandchildren, Jeremy Angel and wife Jennifer of Franklin, Angela Stewart and husband Brad of Franklin and Jon Hunnicutt and wife Jessie of Union, SC and two great grandchildren, Phillip and Hannah Angel.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Mike Chastain will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Gibson, R.L. Gibson, Willard Barrett, Jeff Barrett, Lamon Brown and Alvin Mashburn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mashburn Branch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
