Brenda Roberta Marsengill Vinson, 57, of Otto, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 25, 2005.

A native of Rabun County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster Marsengill and Parilee Giles Marsengill. She worked for Rabun Apparel. Brenda was a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church, Mountain City, GA and attended Asbury Methodist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Alan Vinson; three sons, Michael Vinson of Franklin, Chris Vinson and wife Hannah of Granite Falls, NC and Zachary Vinson of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Jerry Lang and husband, Don of Orange Beach, AL and Danny Hooper and husband Bruce of Bettys Creek, GA; four grandchildren, Dustin Vinson of Otto, Collin and Ryan Vinson both of Wisconsin, Lily Vinson of Granite Falls, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Vanderburg, Rev. Jimmy Galloway and Rev. Jerome Hamm will officiate. Burial will be in the Asbury Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Alan Vinson, 1050 River Valley Road, Otto, NC 28763.
