Bobby Wayne Hopkins, 30, of Franklin, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of Billy Gibson of Franklin and Barbara Hopkins Weaver of Dillard, GA. Bobby was a dirt track racing fan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Gibson, Luvenia Gibson and Howard Hopkins.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Margie Hopkins of Franklin; a brother, Michael Hopkins and wife Lisa of Franklin; half sister, Nancy Robinson of Franklin and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Adam West and Rev. Benny Hurst will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill AME Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff McConnell, Jerry Collier, Tommy Duke, Billy Hopkins, Mike Hopkins and Alan Wilkie.
