Obituary
Blanche M. Norton, 80, of Franklin, entered into rest Wednesday, May 4, 2005.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Jess David and Florence Massey Keener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Norton, who died in 1994, and a brother, Bruce Keener. Mrs. Norton retired from Clayburne Manufacturing and was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two children, Anita Angel and husband, Furman, Jr., and Woodrow Norton, both of Franklin; two brothers, Joe Keener of Manassas, VA and Wade Keener, of Partlow, VA; one grandson, Furman Angel and wife, Molly of Asheville, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jerome Hamm, Rev. Jimmy Galloway, and Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Mulberry Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Furman Angel, Joe Keener, Brandon Keener, Tim Nicholson, Charles Brown, and David Cabe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mulberry United Methodist Church Handicap Ramp Fund, C/O Margaret Howard, P.O. Box 14, Franklin, NC 28744.
