Obituary
Bill Peggs, 55, of Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016.
Born in Bloomington, IN, he was the son of the late David Peggs and Johni Lecompt Peggs. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran; mechanic with American Airlines and was a pharmacy tech for Walmart. Bill was a Chicago Cubs fan; a huge George Jones fan; a rock hound; and enjoyed golf; but most of all he loved and cherished his family.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rev. Bonnie Peggs; three children, Shana Kowalewski and husband Guy of Franklin, NC, Julie Combs of Franklin, NC and Chris Combs of Chicago, IL; one brother, Steve Peggs of Germantown, TN; two sisters, Debbie McCallen and Teresa Crosby both of Germantown, TN; five grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Jared, Tyler, Samantha and Josh and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Greene and Rev. Gene Price will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
