Obituary
Betty Joyce Blankenship Royse, 83, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Born in Allen Junction, WV, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Blankenship and Ora Richardson Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oval Royse; son, Bernard "Bernie" Royse and three sisters.
She is survived by three children, John Royse and wife Ramona of Franklin, Nancy Norman and husband Randall of Sylva, NC and Martha Brindle and husband Eugene "Gene" of Cherokee, NC; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23rd at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Brandon Breedlove will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Appalachian Animal Rescue Center, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
