Obituary

Betty Lou Mottola, 78, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014.

Betty was an adult educator and taught crafts at Orange County Adult Education Center. She loved the Lord, enjoyed cooking, crafts, making dolls and had a great sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Mottola; six children, Richard M. Mottola Jr. of Franklin, Gary P. Mottola of New Smyrna, FL, Sandra M. Mottola of Franklin, Nicholas Joseph Mottola, III of New Smyrna, FL, William Sproul Mottola of Rosemont, FL and Betty Lou Joy Mottola of Franklin; four grandchildren, Sam R. Bridgers, Sandra McElhaney, Gary Mottola and Nicholas Mottola; two great grandchildren, Zoey Bridgers and Lilly Joe McElhaney and her beloved dog, Buttercup.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 21st at Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Prince, Rev. Benny Bagwell and Rev. Rusty Wolfrey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Michael McElhaney, Rick Mottola, Bubba Aiken,Weldon Wahl, Bill Nail, Nicholas Joseph Mottola, III, Nicholas Joseph Mottola, IV and William Mottola.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
