Betty Carroll Magee, 78, of Franklin, NC, formerly of Spotswood, NJ went to be with her Lord on February 29, 2008 after a lengthy battle with lymphoma.

Born in New River, Tenn. she was the daughter of the late Wayne Carroll and Polly Breeding Carroll of Devonia, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Leedie Carroll. She was a graduate of Lake City High School, Lake City, TN, and she retired from KMart. Betty was an active member of Morrison Presbyterian Church, Franklin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-three years, Herbert; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Thelma Carroll of Harriman, TN; two sisters and a brother-in-laws, Lourtta and Vergle Wagner of Cliffwood Beach, NJ and Beulah and Jim Asher of Salem, VA. She will also be fondly remembered by her children and their spouses; Ronald and Mary Magee and Kathryn and Randall Goossen both of Florida, Debra and Mark Jeffers of Texas; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wendell Ligon will officiate. Burial will be in the Rush Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Macon Funeral Home.
