Betty Gladwell Gunter Craig, 65, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Barnett and Carrie Lee Sprinkle Gladwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Ray Gunter, second husband, Jerry Craig and an infant brother, Kenneth. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by a daughter, Carla Oden and husband Tim of Commerce, GA; brother, Max Gladwell and wife Glenda of Franklin; sister, Virginia Bryson and husband Bill of Franklin; two grandchildren, Eva Oden and fiancé Dusty Shirley and T.R. Oden and fiancée Chazz Streisguth; great granddaughter, Arianna Oden and special friend, Frances Lowe of Sylva.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, December 2, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Robert Brown will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
