Bessie Stewart Green, 83, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008.
Born in Jackson Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Govan Stewart and Clara Belle Webster Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Green and siblings, Eva Frady, Fred Stewart, Albert Stewart, Lambert Stewart, Lem Stewart and Alvin Stewart. Bessie was a homemaker and member of West Franklin Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, Carson Green and wife Adelaide and Nora Mincey and husband Mike, both of Franklin; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wenesday, August 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will be officiating. Burial will be Louisa Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Vinson, Brent Vinson, Charles Stewart, Gerald Frady and Johnny Frady.
Luke Vinson and Sam Vinson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
