Bertha Irene Bumgarner Watson, 76, of Franklin passed away Monday, November 5, 2018.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Vernon Bumgarner and Nellie Belle Evitte Bumgarner. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by two brothers, Eloth Bumgarner and Carl Bumgarner, and two sisters, Edith Jennings and Jessie Rogers. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and worked at Westcare Hospital as an X-ray technician. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club and Southwestern Community College Alumni.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, JL Watson; three daughters, Susan Jones (Lewis), of McEwen, TN, Kimberly Cunningham (Boyce), of Franklin, and Cristy Passmore (Jamie), of Franklin; three grandchildren, Jennifer Cunningham, Danielle Coleman, and Joshua Coleman; two great-grandchildren, McKenna Waldroop and Jaielle Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, November 8 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Williams, Rev. Jamie Passmore, and Rev. Rondal Owen will officiate. Burial will be in Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm, Wednesday, November 7 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Passmore, Boyce Cunningham, Lewis Jones, Josh Coleman, Jeff Clark, Randy Cunningham, and Bobby Ledford.
