Bernett Cassada Franks, 86, of Sylva, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

Born in Clay Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late Millard Cassada and Della Mae Henson Cassada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Franks and two brothers, Gene and Ralph Cassada. Bernett was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Deborah Faircloth and husband Ray of Sylva and Bruce E. Franks and wife Margaret of St. Cloud, FL; three grandchildren, Monica, Brian and Amy; five great grandchildren, Tori, Tyler, Haley, Sam and Annie and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley Price and Rev. Mike Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Buchanan, Dwight Cassada, Dennis Cassada, Ray Sanders, Rick Cassada, Miles Cassada, Zac Dover and Jim Hedden.

Memorial donations can be made to Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
