Barbara R. David, 82, of Franklin, NC, passed away December 2, 2008.
Born in Murphy, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rawley Robinson and Myrtle Franklin Robinson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister, Mary Taylor and two brothers, Harry Robinson and Jim Robinson. Barbara moved from Merritt Island, FL, to Franklin in January 2008. She loved animals and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Robert J. David of Franklin; son, James R. Newton and wife Helen of Franklin; granddaughter, Ashley Manus of Charleston, SC and nephew, Frederick Thomas Robinson of Sorrento, FL.
A private family service was held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Macon Co. Public Library, 819 Siler Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
