Audrey Stewman Dills, 89, of Franklin passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Furman Walker Stewman and Mabel Teem Stewman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Royal Dills Jr.; daughter, Marsha Mascarenas; and grandson Kent Doulas Rogers. Audrey was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Canton, NC. She enjoyed reading books, knitting, sewing, painting, carpentry, and loved working outside in the garden.

She is survived by her two daughters, Myra D. Higdon (Denton) of Franklin, and Keila D. Rogers of Clyde, NC; son-in-law, Nano Mascarenas of Clyde, NC; five grandchildren, Carmen Leatherwood, Michael Mascarenas, Todd Higdon, Travis Higdon, and Lauren Parker; eleven great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.

Grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
