Arnis Jendze, 74, of Franklin, NC, formerly of Columbus and Atlanta, GA died, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at his home in Franklin, NC.
Mr. Jendze was born May 15, 1935 in Lativia. He was the son of the late Janis and Elza Jendze of Woodbury, NJ. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Mark and Andrea Jendze. He moved to the US from Lativia in 1950 where he lived until he joined the US Army. He worked as an artist for RC Cola in Columbus until 1977 then moved to Atlanta, GA where he worked for American Graphics until retirement. He moved to "the mountains" to spend his retirement. Mr. Jendze spent many years in Columbus and Atlanta as a professional artist and his artwork remains displayed in many homes and businesses.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine Joy Jendze; three daughters, Sandra Nevels (Bill) of Smiths, AL, Tina Townsend (Tim) of Hamilton, GA and Lisa Nix (Lan) of Simpsonville, SC; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.
