Antoinette Smith Bentley, 87, of Franklin, and formerly of Thomaston, GA, entered into rest Monday, May 16, 2005.

A native of Upson County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Given Smith and Annie Mae Pitts Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bentley; a daughter, Diane Perdue; a sister, Ganelle Wall; and a grand-daughter, Susanne Bentley. Antoinette retired from Upson County as Deputy Clerk of Court; and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston, GA.

Surviving are one son, Jack Bentley and wife, Martha of Franklin; one sister, Claire Wilkie of Kirkwood, Mississippi; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, at the Trice Cemetery in Thomaston, GA. Dr. Ed Cliburne will officiate.
