Ann Marie Demas, 77, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007.

Born in Pleasant City, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Steve Kasper and Gizella Jnacoik Kasper. She was married to the late Harry Demas who died August 26,1985. In 1969 she became the first residential building contractor in the State of Michigan. Ann was of the Catholic faith. She was retired from TekTone Sound & Signal Mfg., Inc.

She is survived by sons, Allen Demas and wife Darlene of Franklin, grandsons, Jason and wife Sherry of Aiken, SC, Philip and great granddaughter Elyse of Hickory, NC, Chris and wife Robin of Jonesborough, TN; son Anthony of Coco, FL, grandsons Tony of Pawleys' Island, SC and Travis of San Diego, CA., granddaughter Dawn Summey and husband Gary of Coco, FL; daughter Kathleen Reed and husband Rick of Naples, FL, granddaughters Melissa of Naples, FL, Cindy of Orlando, FL; son, Nick and wife Teresa, granddaughters, Amanda and Jessica of Ft. Lee, VA; sister, Marianne Zilka of Elyria, OH.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Demas, Philip Demas, Christopher Demas, Tony Demas, Amanda Demas, Jessica Demas, Gary Summey, Melissa McCarty and Cindy McCarty.

Memorial donations may be made to the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1537 Iotla Church Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
