Obituary
Alice Jenkins Wykle, 99, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008.
Born in Murphy, NC, she was the daughter of the late William A. Jenkins and Hettie Melissa Donaldson Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Luther Wykle who died January 2000; a daughter, Juanita Jenkins Smith; a brother and two sisters. Alice was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She attended Mt. Pisgah Academy through her junior year.
She is survived by two sons, William "Bill" Wykle and wife Deloris of Franklin and Robert "Bob" Wykle and wife Leslie of Winston Salem, NC; sister, Grace Montgomery of Texas; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Elder Wallace Welch and Elder Duane Maracle will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, February 25, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Cochran, Bill Collier, Shaun Smith, Steve Smith, Tony Smith and James Shepherd.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
