Alice Amanda Slagle, 93, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2006.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late George McPherson Slagle and Rosadell Holmes Slagle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Fagg and Molly Bolton and two brothers, George Slagle and John Slagle. Alice retired after 42 years as a school teacher. She was a member of the Macon County Retired Teachers Association; a member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Ruth Circle.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Abel and Rev. Doug Slagle will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
