Alice Ellen Coss, 92, of Franklin, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar Lewis and Alice Vashti Kiser Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, WL "Dub" Setser Jr.; second husband, Clement J. Coss; infant son, William Louie Setser; brother, Mack Lewis; three sisters, Osceola Waldroop, Myrtle Stone and Leona Basden and nephew, Norman Basden. Alice was a member of the Macon County Historical Society, Macon County Public Library and life member of the Friends of Macon Co. Library. She was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by two step-sons, Stan Coss of West Plain MO and Jack Coss of Hendersonville, NC, GA; two step-daughters, Sallee Coss and Pat Quinn of Hartwell; two sisters, Mary Brooks and Babs Neely; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 at Mt. Hope Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Bass will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Timothy F. Neely, Keith W. Lewis, Mackie D. Lewis, Brian Coss, Stanley Coss and Stanley Coss Jr.
