Ada A. Campbell, 81, of Franklin died, Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Born in Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Mel Lee Allen and Elizabeth Goodman Allen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Lanar Campbell Sr. Ada retired from textile manufacturing from Fulton Bag Cotton Mill in Atlanta. She loved to write poetry and songs and loved her family very much. Ada was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle of Atlanta and was a devote believer. Ada is survived by seven children, Sandra Phillips of Cummings, GA, Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson of Franklin, Calvin "Lynn" Campbell Jr. of Morrow, GA, Roger L. Campbell of Douglasville, GA, Shelia A. Finley of Woodstock, GA, Melody J. Sargent of Round Rock, TX and Kathy Johnson of Franklin; one sister, Videra Smith of Walnut Grove, GA; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mitch Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fulton, Brian Fulton, Eric Campbell, Lamar Pratt, Jazz Sargent and Kevin Campbell.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Macon Funeral Home.
